Sebastian Prendergast lives in a geodesic dome with his eccentric grandmother, who homeschooled him in the teachings of futurist philosopher R. Buckminster Fuller. But when his grandmother has a stroke, Sebastian is forced to leave the dome and make his own way in town.
Jared Whitcomb is a chain-smoking sixteen-year-old heart-transplant recipient who befriends Sebastian, and begins to teach him about all the things he has been missing, including grape soda, girls, and Sid Vicious. They form a punk band called The Rash, and it's clear that the upcoming Methodist Church talent show has never seen the likes of them. Wholly original, The House of Tomorrow is the story of a young man's self-discovery, a dying woman's last wish, and a band of misfits trying desperately to be heard.

My Thoughts:

The Characters had their imperfections. You had the bad/good boys, the mother who tries to be perfect but can’t be, different grandmother’s and the rebellious sexy girl. Bognanni does an excellent job portraying how family and friend relationships change. How with just a simple word or look or even a song lyric could change your world or the life of another being forever. Personally in my life: music = everything. So saying that, this novel was really awesome! This novel showed just how much music could truly change someone’s life! Music, whether it be the words or the rhythm seems to call out to everyone in different ways and I abs love that the author shows it with passion with every page. The music in this novel was dirty and fun (like The Sex Pistols), and with every reference in the book made my heart skip a beat. This book is being released as an Adult novel but I highly recommend it for the people who have an extreme love of music and older teens. Overall I give this novel 4 out of 5 paws.
